Welcome to Choppy Poppy’s Plants & Propagations, where plants, passion, and a little bit of playful snipping come together to create something truly special! We’re a small, locally owned business in Erie, PA, run by the husband-and-wife duo Dave & Lori Nicosia—two plant enthusiasts who turned their love of houseplants into a thriving business filled with greenery, handmade creations, and botanical charm.
How It All Started
One fateful day, Lori walked into the room to catch Dave mid-snip—again—taking his trusty scissors to her houseplants.
"Hey Choppy Poppy… are you chopping up my plants again?!"
Yes, yes he was.
Not long after, inspiration struck, and what started as a lighthearted joke soon blossomed into Choppy Poppy’s Plants & Propagations. With Dave & Lori's enthusiasm for plant propagation, design and creativity, they built a business that celebrates the magic of growing, crafting, and sharing plants with the community.

At Choppy Poppy’s, we specialize in making handmade wooden propagation stations, houseplant related accessories, and selling easy-care houseplants at the local markets during the warmer months.
